Given that 2021 was a blockbuster year for NFTs, it’s not particularly surprising that major tech companies are incorporating Non-Fungible Tokens into their CES lineup. The latest comes from Samsung, which revealed a new “NFT Aggregation Platform” designed for its smart TVs.

As the adoption of Blockchain-based non-fungible tokens (NFTs) gains momentum globally including in India, Samsung on Monday announced groundbreaking TV support for NFTs, beginning with its 2022 TV lineup.



The NFT support features an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing, and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED and The Frame.


"With demand for NFTs on the rise, the need for a solution to today's fragmented viewing and purchasing landscape has never been greater," Samsung said in a statement. "In 2022, Samsung is introducing the world's first TV screen-based NFT explorer and marketplace aggregator, a groundbreaking platform that lets you browse, purchase, and display your favorite art - all in one place," the company added.

Those who already own NFTs can also use the platform to showcase their collection. Samsung notes that its “Smart Calibration” technology can automatically adjust the TV’s settings to match the specifications of the original creator to ensure the image is rendered on the TV as faithfully as possible.

Non-fungible tokens have emerged over the past year, with NFT trading volumes hitting over $20 billion in 2021, increasing an astonishing 8,000% growth. .

NFTs were the talk of the town at Miami's Art Basel, while art galleries around the world have wrestled with the question of how to display NFT artworks and Samsung is making it easy and beautiful.
