🥛Fairlife a Coca-Cola Company Settles Class Action Lawsuit for $21 Million

Numerous lawsuits were filed in June of 2019 following the release of an undercover video depicting abusive practices at Fair Oaks Farms located in northwest Indiana, citing false advertising by fairlife.

Two years later, a Fairlife milk settlement has been reached at $21 million. Plaintiffs argued they had paid a premium for fairlife products, based on product labeling that assured customers the milk came from cows that were provided “extraordinary care.”

According to court documents, the judge ruled the settlement provides adequate relief to the plaintiffs in the case. Under terms of the settlement, the defendants have agreed to pay $21 million to cover cash awards, administrative costs, attorneys’ fees, and costs and implement significant injunctive relief aimed at animal welfare.

Customers are eligible to receive 25% of their purchase price of covered fairlife products, up to a maximum cash award of $20 with no valid proof of purchase and up to a maximum $80 with valid proof of purchase for a cumulative cash award of $100.

Proof of purchase included with a claim could be a store receipt, physical milk bottle, or other records that document purchases of eligible Fairlife or Fair Oak Farms products.

The deadline for exclusion and objection is Aug. 25, 2022.

The final approval hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Sept. 28, 2022.

In order to benefit from the settlement, Class Members must submit a valid claim form with the administrator by Dec. 27, 2022.

Who’s Eligible for a Claim.

The settlement benefits consumers who purchased Fairlife or Fair Oak Farms milk products on or before April 27, 2022. The settlement covers milk, ice cream, butter, yogurt, and other dairy products from both Fairlife and Fair Oak Farms. A full list of included products is available on the settlement website.

NOTE: If you do not qualify for this settlement, do NOT file a claim.

Be aware you are submitting your claim under penalty of perjury. You are also harming other eligible Class Members by submitting a fraudulent claim. If you’re unsure if you qualify, review the settlement website.
